Since 1987 we have set a high standard on our huge range of journeys around the globe, from Andean trekking trips and classical tours of Italy, to in-depth cultural explorations of places as diverse as India, Greece and Madagascar.

Activa is a series of tours made more accessible for adventurous travellers who care more for thrills than frills. We have taken some of our longer standing, most popular destinations, jazzed up the itineraries with some more action and some waaay out-of-the-way places, negotiated some great deals on clean and comfortable accommodation, built in a bit more independence in the meal plan and sightseeing, and made it possible to access cheaper deals on charter flights and discounted scheduled fares.

Through it all, our commitment to quality remains the same, and our experience remains part of the deal. Activa makes our special brand of small group travel possible for the discerning, yet more independent, active, and budget-minded traveller.

Our groups comprise 12 to 21 participants plus an Activa Tour Leader; some of our group sizes are strictly limited to fewer than 21
participants. Generally there is a good mix of the sexes, with couples and single travellers. With Activa you can do more and see more at an easier pace, enjoy the peace and quiet of that special place you’ve always dreamed of, and actually hear the local guide! As food always plays an important role in the local cultural experience, we avoid large hotel buffets in favour of smaller, local restaurants.
