Our visit to Lighthouse Key Resort & Spa is as a home-base for golfing Orlando’s championship courses. Just off the Exit of SR 429 (a toll road) and Rt. 192 it is convenient and away from the congested touristy area of Rt.192 and I-4. Plus the Resort has a guard gate assuring both privacy and safety.

Welcome home! Entering the luxurious 3-bedroom condo is like coming home. Cozy yet stylish décor creates warmth with rich colors. The great room offers comfortable seating with a plush couch and chairs while an open built-in shelf has a 42” Plasma TV and DVD player. Large glass doors open onto a private patio with a wonderful view of Orange Lake and the Orange Lake Golf Courses. All the accoutrements for preparing meals from continental breakfast to a gourmet dinner are found in the full kitchen with stainless appliances. A table for six is in the dining area and there’s even a separate laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.

Featuring two large master bedroom suites each has a king-size bed and private bath with double sinks, whirlpool tub, and separate shower as well as walk in closets. The spacious bedroom has a desk, comfy chair and HDTV, while glass doors open onto the patio. A third bedroom has a Twin trundle bed and a separate bathroom conveniently located in the hallway.

At the Grand Clubhouse we find it is sophisticated with a warm décor. Outside is an elegant pool overlooking Orange Lake, which is also the lake that Animal Kingdom borders. On the main floor is an expanded fitness center, along with a game and billiard room, plus an Internet Café and Deli. There’s even a 52-seat movie theatre! Upstairs is The Spa and a fully equipped business center.

The Lighthouse Key Resort and Spa is truly a home away from home for us. There are numerous restaurants close by as well as grocery stores. With convenient access on to SR429 it is easy on our golfing excursions to get around the Lake Buena Vista/Orlando area by-passing traffic congestion.

Our visit at Lighthouse Key Resort is terrific. The décor is all beautifully appointed and we even snap photos for ideas to incorporate into our home. While our days were busy with golf, we are glad to return to the condo with room to relax and spread out. For two couples the two master suites are perfect along with the spaciousness of the condo. Relaxing with friends in the evenings we enjoy games and refreshments and all the conveniences of our “home away from home”. We agree that the Lighthouse Key Resort and Spa offers an unforgettable Florida vacation experience.
