Your B&B Mansion in Niagara Falls New York
Splendor by the Falls

If you are planning a trip to Niagara Falls, and want a luxurious guestroom close to the rushing rapids of the great cataract, the Hillcrest Inn is the place for you.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood of mostly private homes, this upscale B&B enjoys a remarkable proximity to the wild river just above the falls. The Hillcrest’s venue is quiet and serene, yet it is only a few minutes’ walk to the most famous natural wonder in North America.
A long and narrow brick driveway abruptly ends at the front door of the Inn, which gracefully resides in an old Georgian mansion. Gardens surround the house that was once an elegant private home, which later became a renowned school for artists. It was reborn as a luxury bed and breakfast inn just a few short years ago.
A prominent etched glass panel next to the generous front door reads Hillcrest Inn – a comforting assurance that you have reached your destination. One-step across the threshold, and you are in a lovely warm home – a relaxed setting where discriminating guests are attentively served.
The ground level of the Inn has a roomy foyer leading to a spacious parlor, dining room, and charming tearoom. An elegant old wooden staircase ascends to the four guestrooms on the second floor. Each sleeping room is individually decorated in period furnishings and antique accessories.
A full gourmet breakfast is included
The piece de résistance is Innkeeper Cassidy Gillespie’s breakfast. While we were there, guests enjoyed Eggs Benedict with asparagus, but she might also have pleased their palette with a choice of eggs and potatoes, tomatoes, and sausage or bacon – or one of her many other gourmet delights. Of course, there are always delicious pastries, vitalizing juices, and a robust cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee.
Cassidy’s love of excellent food, painstakingly prepared and presented, was obvious to all. As she laid each plate before her guests, the presentation was acknowledged and admired like an award-winning artist’s still life.
Breakfast is served at a large dining room table ornamented with fine china and exquisite silverware – or if something more intimate is preferred, couples can opt for breakfast on the sun porch overlooking the rushing river. Weather permitting, guests who reserve the Master Suite may take their breakfast on their private balcony overlooking the upper river rapids. Now that is a truly unique and special experience.
Niagara Falls is a national treasure and has been a global vacation destination for over 150 years. If you would relish an opportunity to experience extraordinary hospitality, like that enjoyed by well-to-do travelers a century ago – make a reservation at the Hillcrest Inn.
The best news is that a stay at the Hillcrest may actually be easier on the wallet than that large crowded hotel you might otherwise be considering.
