Don’t think just because the snow has melted that mountain regions have nothing going on. Zermatt - the world-famous playground located on the Matterhorn in the Alps - is alive with hikers, summer skiers and adventure lovers in summer, and golf is also a major attraction. Golf in the Alps is spectacular and The Matterhorn Eagle Cup is one event golfing fans should not miss.

The Matterhorn Eagle Cup - August 15, 2009 www.matterhorn-eaglecup.ch
Now in its 18th year, the Matterhorn Eagle Cup takes place in the beautiful Alpine landscape, between 2,500 and 2,800 metres above sea level.

The course
The nine-hole course fits perfectly into the landscape, making this one of the most picturesque – and challenging – courses in Europe. Play around rocks, cliffs, unevenness and other mountain obstacles, with your drive travelling an estimated 10 per cent further because of the altitude. At 75 cm, the holes are larger than normal but the challenge is enough to please even the most passionate and skilled golfer.

Alpine Golf Week - September 5-12, 2009
Featuring five different tournaments across seven days, the Alpine Golf Week is certain to provide a great deal of fun and variety. Improve your handicap and experience unforgettable golf in the midst of the fantastic Alpine setting.

Where to stay
After a day on the greens, enjoy a soak in your private Jacuzzi at a Mountain Exposure chalet. Mountain Exposure offers a range of four and five-star properties accommodating from six to 26 people. Summer season rates start from just £375 per person per week.
For reservations and information on Mountain Exposure’s range of chalets, see www.mountainexposure.com or call +41 794 864 504.
