Wow! Could I have planned any of the last 8 months? HELL NO! It's been amazing....but I still had 2 weeks left and I sort of had a clue what I wanted to do....some things pulled through some didn't. Easy come easy go! I can honestly say i've been an incredibly lucky fucker to have had such a great time in times of pure randomness.
For example, In Adelaide, I didn't mention the fact that my Puma Trainers got stolen by a so-called "Dangerous Criminal" as the police explained. The same "dangerous criminal" that had also stolen 3 other pairs of trainers (Why? I don't have a clue...but i'm guessing cos he's dangerous and maybe it's his forte), A toothbrush, toothpaste and... ketchup. KETCHUP! I mention this as my shoe got stolen in Byron Bay...My SHOE...not SHOES. SHOE! Bastards....what are the odds on it being the same "Dangerous Criminal"?!?!
Rant over! So, my last 2 weeks have been really kewl...I've had to do things pretty quickly in this sort of time period and so first stop Sydney!!! One of many places I've been waiting to see since being in Oz and it didn't dissapoint whatsoever... It's like London........But.....BETTER!!! Much better...it has beaches! And also bikini clad Bondi birds with hot bods....say that whilst drunk! ;p
Like I say it's a great place......and what captivated me more than anything was 2 particular buildings that struck me as funktastic. Guess them....Yeah those are the ones you clever bastard! Opera House and Habrour Bridge. They blew me away so much so I must have taken pics of them from every angle possibly possible!!! They both look just as amazing at night and well I wish I could have done the bridge walk...you basically get to walk to the centre point of the top of the bridge...this will be done by myself at some stage in my life! Snow Patrol's 'Chocolate' played in my head during that episode...felt great.
Hyde park and the botanical gardens were spectacular....If office workers in London had such an amazing bunch of parks near their offices I'm sure Londoners would be so much more chilled out! I noticed some office workers at the botanical gardens around 2pm having a meeting whilst indulging in some pinic food. They were smiling and laughing and that just said it all. Also, I got to see a good friend I met in Thailand, who I had a really good time getting to catch up with and reminiscing about that awesome place!
Next stop was the sunshine/gold coast...i didn't do every place and so still was a good time in Noosa, briefly in surfers Paradise and Byron Bay. Although, I have to say there were some english pricks with bags of attitude acting like idiots throughout my visit of these places. I find it incredibly funny that english people would go to australia only to end up talking to and going out with english people. You can do that in...well say...ENGLAND!!!! Byron Bay was a good place though despite this and it's deffo a place to learn to surf. I did a bit of body boarding myself which I felt quite safe with and wouldn't make a tit out of myself much with! And also, I learnt how to do the front stroke thanks to Eva! Cheers Eva! :D
And finally...Melbourne! Again, another great place. Wait, thats an understatement....it's fooking fantastic! Melbourne is a completely happening place full of nice, kewl, sports-mad nutters! Although at the same time, it has a good few pricks here too (not just english)! Despite this....Federation square was brilliant place to be...it seems like time is enjoyment here...there's so much to do but I'll let you found that out for yourself!
Now, I talk of sin. I DIDN'T do the neighbours tour. I DIDN'T watch an AFL friendly game. Point is I tried...but missed out by one day unfortunately. I'll catch at least the afl next time (not overly bothered by neighbours...programme sucks nowadays I hear and even Holly Valance said so HAHA!). However, I caught the football semi final game between Melbourne Vics v Adelaide Sucks Utd. Sucks lost 4-0....and now thee be dubbed!! Also I redeemed those dissapointments by taking a tour of the MCG stadium...home of Aussie cricket. The stadium is Magnifique. I sat in Ricky Ponting's chair from their last test match...where they LOST. So, basically I sat in a losers chair. ;p
That was finished off nicely with a good night out with aussies. A few beers and Jager Bombs and I was sloshed! I was tired from the last 2 weeks evidently.
And so that's it (I tried great ocean road on my last day but failed...no drivers license despite people telling me it may be ok still) the end of my adventure and I did everything I wanted to...but theirs still a lot to see and do. I'm going to do more of the same back here...home! It already feels strange to be home...it's freaking cold!!! Also, I tried to be friendly with the customs guy checking my passport at Heathrow, here goes:-
Me - "How ya going mate?!!"
Him - "..........."
TOSSER! Cheer up..it could be worse!
And so back to normality...welcome home Ax. :D
