Hotel Hilton Quebec
Just Outside the Walled City
Chateau Frontenac and the Saint Lawrence River
The Hotel Hilton Quebec is located just minutes from the walls of the old city. I stayed here in February during the Winter Carnival and I found that I was within walking distance of nearly all of the activities.
The hotel has been newly renovated and the rooms are large with plenty of room to either relax or work, The floor to ceiling windows in all of the rooms afford a great view of the city even on the lower floors. From my 5th floor room, I was able to see the hotel Frontenac, Bonhomme’s Ice Palace, the St. Lawrence River and the Quebec Parliament buildings.
Perhaps one of the more interesting features is the large, heated outdoor pool which is open year around. Although the temperature was below zero and the pool was surrounded by snow, there were plenty of people swimming laps or families frolicking in the warm water. For those who wanted to get their exercise and chose not to venture into the pool, there was a well equipped fitness center.
Children are allowed to share a room with their parents without additional charge. Some rooms will accommodate pets.
